Owen Book Studio Refund and Cancellation Policy

This Policy applies to purchases made directly through Owen Book Studio.
1. General principle
We aim to charge only for services and generations that are actually provided.
Artificial intelligence generations consume resources once they begin. The ability to cancel or receive a refund depends on whether processing has started, credits have been consumed, and the Service has materially delivered what was purchased.
This Policy does not limit mandatory rights established by applicable law.
2. One-time purchases
You may request cancellation and a full refund when payment has been confirmed and generation has not yet started.
Once processing has begun, a refund will not be automatically granted because you changed your mind, prefer another genre or style, later changed your idea, did not use the result, did not publish the book, received a rejection from a publisher or platform, had no sales, or held subjective expectations that were not included in the purchase.
This does not apply where there is a failure attributable to Owen Book Studio or where the law provides an additional right.
3. Credit packages
You may request a refund for a package within seven calendar days after purchase if you have not used any credits.
When you have used part of the package, credits consumed are not refundable solely because of a change of mind. We will review any failure relating to the consumed and unused portions according to the circumstances and the law.
Free or promotional credits have no refundable cash value.
4. Failures attributable to Owen
A possible failure includes a job that does not start within a reasonable time; an empty or inaccessible file; a duplicate charge; credits deducted without producing a result; a permanently interrupted process; a material deliverable that is missing; an incorrect language due to a technical failure; substantial failure to meet the purchased length or format; or failure to deliver the described service.
In these cases, Owen Book Studio may correct the problem, repeat the same generation at no cost, restore credits, or refund the corresponding amount.
Internal validations and retries needed to complete the same purchase will not be charged as a new generation.
If, after a reasonable attempt to correct the problem, we are unable to deliver the purchased service, you may request a refund of the affected amount.
5. Editorial quality
Results may require human review and editing.
Differences in taste, voice, tone, or subjective preference do not by themselves constitute a technical failure when the result substantially follows the purchased description, length, and configuration.
We will review missing chapters, corrupted files, excessive technical repetition, serious contradictions attributable to the system, material failure to meet the required length, an incorrect language, or inability to access or download the result.
6. Duplicate or unrecognized charges
Write to [email protected] and include the account email, date, amount, receipt or identifier, an explanation, and any available evidence.
We will correct any confirmed duplicate charge or error.
Knowingly filing a false chargeback after receiving and using the Service may be considered fraud and may result in suspension.
7. Subscriptions, when offered
Owen Book Studio does not activate recurring charges unless checkout clearly identifies a subscription and obtains express consent.
If a subscription is offered, you will be able to cancel renewal immediately; cancellation will prevent future charges; you will receive any renewal notice required by law; and we will review accidental renewals when no credits or benefits from the new period have been used.
Partially used periods will not be automatically refunded, except in the event of a duplicate charge, a charge after a valid cancellation, a serious interruption attributable to Owen, a confirmed unauthorized charge, or a mandatory legal right.
8. How to request a refund
Send your request to [email protected] and include the account email, purchase identifier, date, amount, affected project, an explanation, and screenshots when available.
We will acknowledge receipt and communicate a decision within a reasonable time.
Approved refunds will be sent to the original payment method. After processing, the bank or provider may normally take 5 to 10 business days to reflect the refund.
9. Consumer rights
Nothing in this Policy limits a consumer's right to request mandatory remedies, compensation, returns, or actions under applicable law.
