Do I need to connect an AI API key?
No. Owen’s AI tools are built in. You don’t need your own API key or a separate AI subscription to use the tools included in your book package.
Do I pay once, or is this a subscription?
Book packages are a one-time purchase with no subscription or automatic renewal. Professional includes one book, Duo includes two, and Trilogy includes three. Extra books in Duo and Trilogy are available for 12 months after purchase.
What’s included, and are there extra charges?
Each paid book includes its first manuscript of up to 80,000 words, 25 AI planning changes, 45,000 AI editing credits, three initial cover concepts and exports. Manual editing is included. Additional AI usage beyond your package may require a separate purchase; you see the price before paying.
Can I change the plan and edit the writing?
Yes. Review your characters, world, plot and chapters before generating the draft. Make the details yours, then edit the manuscript by hand or use Owen’s AI tools to rewrite, expand or condense passages.
Which languages can I write in?
Choose English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Japanese, Korean or Chinese when setting up your book.
Which fiction genres can I create?
Romance, mystery, thriller, fantasy, science fiction, horror, historical fiction, adventure, drama and young adult. Describe the tone, setting and tropes you want in your idea.
Can I publish and sell my book?
You can export your manuscript as DOCX, EPUB or PDF. Owen does not claim ownership of your generated material. Review and edit your work, and follow your publishing platform’s requirements. Read the commercial-use terms.
How do refunds work?
You can request a full refund before generation starts. Once processing begins, a change of mind does not automatically qualify. If a technical problem prevents delivery, we’ll review a correction, retry or refund under our policy. Read the refund policy.
